The CWS1 grant (Deer Control and Management) is a supplement within the Countryside Stewardship Higher Tier, specifically designed to help landowners manage deer populations in a way that benefits woodlands and the wider environment. It provides financial support for effective deer control and management, including deer management plans and related costs.
CWS1 Grant – What we do for you
- We can provide the staff and the knowhow to implement all the required surveying for the Cws1/ WS1 Deer habitat impact activity survey as required by the forestry commission and all survey and summary sheets are provided to you on a standardized forestry commission form
- Continued yearly surveys
- If Required any Deer control or work alongside your existing stalking team
- Construction and Continued monitoring of Deer exclosures
